About this Training
The Lomi Lomi retreat Maui 2026 will offer you an experiential discovery of the Ancient Wisdom awake inside your own cells: embodied bodywork training.
The way of being most of us have been taught in modern Western culture privileges the conceptualized knowing of the mind over the innate wisdom of the body. On our retreats you will experience a profound shift in perspective that will bring you into deeper contact with Life and awaken a Source of Intelligence that emerges naturally from our embodied experience.
You will go through a series of exercises and practices rooted in indigenous Hawaiian wisdom designed to gently shift awareness and deepen sensitivities, bringing physical, mental, emotional & spiritual aspects into coherence. In this Resonance, we will approach the bodywork of Ancient Lomi Lomi or Lomi Ke Ala HōKū — The Pathway to The Stars. This training is based on the in-depth teachings of this pathway and is “old-style learning” — rather than receive conceptual information, your own, embodied experience becomes your teacher.
Participants will be required to be completely off of phone and internet for the duration of the Retreat.
About Your instructor
Jody Mountain is a dancer, choreographer and teacher with over 30 years experience in various forms of movement dynamics and healing modalities. Since 1989, she has been studying, practicing and teaching the art of Ancient Lomi Lomi and it's foundations in Ancient Hawaiian Wisdom. Jody brings forward the lineage of her teacher, Kahu Abraham Kawa'i, Aua'ia, Maka'i'ole, Uliama, from whom she received personalized and in-depth teachings. Jody also practices and facilitates Core & Cellular Healing — a modern form of Ancient Hawaiian Ho'oponopono. She is a licensed massage therapist and teacher in the state of Hawai'i, and has dedicated her life to sharing the depth and vibrancy of this profound work with others as a vehicle for awakened consciousness.

Retreat Location:
Our Ancient Lomi Lomi training will be held in the pure beauty and mana of the island of Maui in the Hawaiian archipelago. The closest airport to arrive and depart is: Kahului Airport. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are readily available there. Maui does have a public transport bus, however you may experience wait times as well as sparse drop off points.
A rental car is not recommended for your stay as transport during the Retreat is included.
Our Retreat Facility is located at a private location on the North Shore of Maui. The most convenient location for any accommodation before the Retreat, will be Pa’ia Town, Ha’iku, Makawao, Olinda or Kula.
Coming from off-island, It is recommended that you arrive at least a day or two prior to the Retreat so that you can be rested from travel to begin. It’s also best to stay for at least a day or two after the Retreat for integration. However, these are just suggestions for your optimum experience.
Dates & Times:
We will begin on Sunday, March 22, 2026, 2p.m*.
*Please arrive at the Facility by 1p.m. to complete Registration and settle into your room.
We will finish on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at approximately 3pm.
If you have to leave on the final day, please book any outgoing flights to depart after 9p.m.

Our home for the Retreat lies on a very special piece of land, surrounded by palms with a beautiful view of the ocean. The flowers and food grown on the land enhance our stay.
Please note that shared accommodation only is available.
Men and women are designated to different rooms.
Food
Meals for the Retreat are freshly prepared from local, organic produce by our Master Chef who is deeply connected to the land. Her expertise is in the creation of nutritious and delicious dishes designed to nourish us on many levels.
We will enjoy vegan and vegetarian fare with the exception of eggs. Our chef is happy to adjust her food preparation to accommodate any allergies.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Maui Retreat
Is prior Lomi Lomi experience required to attend this retreat?
No prior Lomi Lomi experience is required. This training welcomes both experienced bodyworkers and those new to Lomi Lomi who feel called to an embodied, lineage-based approach. What’s most important is a willingness to engage deeply, listen through the body, and participate fully in the learning process.
Is this retreat suitable for international participants?
Yes. We regularly welcome participants from Europe and around the world. The retreat is held in English, and transportation during retreat days is provided once you arrive on Maui.
How is this Lomi Lomi training different from spa-based or technique-focused courses?
This retreat approaches Lomi Lomi as a living lineage and embodied pathway, not simply a massage technique. The emphasis is on presence, perception, coherence, and relational intelligence — how you meet the body, yourself, and others. Technique arises from embodied understanding rather than memorization or performance.
What is included in the retreat registration?
Registration includes the full 10-day Ancient Lomi Lomi training, daily classes and embodied practices, organic meals during the retreat, transportation during retreat days, and the guidance of experienced facilitators rooted in lineage transmission.
